With 460Hp and 520lbs of torque, peak Hp at 5,200 rpm's and peak torque at 4,000 rpm's, this becomes a great street performance engine that will impress anyone that drives it.

If you want a small block torque monster this is the engine, 520lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm’s that’s big block Chevy power from a small block. If you want to keep your engine speed down, have the torque of a big block with the size of a small block, this is the engine package to use.

If you own a third generation F Body Tuneport Camaro or FireBird from 84 on, we have the electrical wiring harness and instructions for you to install a Fast ECU. This will allow you to connect to the car’s factory ECU wiring harness just by unplugging the factory ECU and re-plugging in the Fast ECU. This will allow you to program the Fast ECU and still have the functions of the factory wiring harness avoiding the hassles of installing a completely new wiring harness. This wiring package helps with the installation of any performance engine that needs a programmable ECU. The performance upgrade makes this an attractive alternative for performance upgrades with the third generation Camaro and Pontiac cars.

What makes this engine create this much torque is the 21” of intake runner length and the high flow rates of the heads and manifold together. The intake manifolds long runners and additional cross-sectional area in the runners, contributes to cylinder fill, which creates a ram effect in the air column during the intake cycle increasing the engines volumetric efficiency (cylinder fill rate) to over 120%. The added fill rate increases the engines dynamic cylinder pressure in the cylinders as well as contributing to increased cylinder combustion efficiency. In this type of engine we can only run a static 10 to 1 compression ratio due to the fill rate of the induction system, requiring that you use 93 octane fuel.

With this style intake manifold engine rpm’s can be limited due to the inherited intake plenum design, limiting the peak intake flow rates and therefore the peak engine rpm's mostly with engines that have high air flow rate cylinder heads. When using this style intake manifold peak engine rpm's will be lower than a carbureted engine when using either a dual or the single plane intake manifold designs. The difference is that the carbureted style intake manifold that I have mentioned will not create the same torque values at the same rpm's as the Tuneport manifold. This is because of the volumetric efficiency, which will be much lower near 103-106%, resulting in less air and fuel in the cylinders to compress.

What this engine needs is a 5-6 speed manual transmission behind it. In the picture below shows a Tremec T56 Magnum 6 speeds manual transmission capable of handling up 750lbs of torque, a Quick Time scatter shield, a Center Force clutch assembly with a McLeod self-adjusting throw-out bearing assembly. When you want to be serious, these are the parts required for serious people.
